After installing InfoTrove for the first time, the system is pre-configured with an Initial Admin user account, "admin", with password "adminadmin". For security reasons, it is recommended that you immediately create a company specific admin account and then delete the system default account.

(8) Missed mouse clicks on Internet Explorer?

Internet Explorer may occasionally miss a mouse click if it is applied as soon as a new page is loaded. If this occurs, simply re-click to force the required action.

(9) Installation problems on Windows platforms?

The following is a list of the most common problems encountered when installing InfoTrove under Windows.

(i). Installation requires Administrator rights

When installing on Windows NT or Windows 2000 Pro you need to have administrator rights.

(ii). Access privileges required for installation

As part of the InfoTrove installation, files are temporarily stored in the C:\tmp folder. If this folder doesn't exist on your system it is automatically created.

However, if you do not have write and create privileges to this location, the install will not create this directory, you may need to create it manually.

(iii). Check that Port 80 is not already being used

By default, the InfoTrove server will operate on port 80 which is the standard http port.

If you are already running a web server on your machine, and this uses port 80, you will need to change the InfoTrove port. You will be prompted for the port number as part of the install. When prompted, do NOT accept the default port 80. Instead enter an unused port number such as port 4000.
